One of Buffalo's Finest!
Everything from the smell of the place and the warm greeting, drinks, soup and dinner was outstanding. We had high expectations and this exceeded them. Attention to every detail of decor and presentation makes for a meal to remember. If we weren't already together I'd take her there to propose!
Cons: none

Never got any
I have had this pizza before, so I decided to call yesterday to order and use the coupon. Well...I called & called & called. For over a half hour I called and never got passed a busy signal. I ended up going some where else and was not as happy there either. Too bad, that coupon was exactly what I wanted.
Cons: Need better phone system

Holly Farms is a regular stop for lunches from our office. They have a good variety of prepared food. Addition the $1 off Foupon makes a sub there an excellent value.

Cons: Noon lunch line is long.

Saigon Cafe
1098 Elmwood Ave
Buffalo, NY 14222
Saigon cafe is the prefect Buffalo Dining place
I have to start by saying Saigon Cafe is the most wonderful experience I have, every time I go there. Every single aspect of the food is top-notch, all ingredients are fresher and riper than anywhere I've been. And combined in such a way I can not describe other than "A taste of Nirvana on my palette". I've frequented there Since I found the place 3 years ago. When My Ex-Wife was pregnant it was a please to take her to childrens hospital every week as we'd go there for lunch immediately afterwards even if it's only for their homemade soups which are more addicting than anything I've ever had. Honestly though, the won-ton isn't their best. It IS the best won ton soup you can get, but by far the sweet and sour soups, or anything with the coconut base they use is spectacular. Also their spring rolls are a pure fantastic delicacy, I often order two orders (4 total) for myself alone. The Mango Curry is seasoned perfectly as to not be spicy nor too sweet, although if you're a fan of medium spiceiness add an extra "Star of spicy-ness" and it's pure pleasure. The stir fried Lemon Grass was my first favorite and is always wonderful with it's mixed steamed veggies in a light and sweet lemon grass sauce, I often get every dish with fried tofu or chicken only because I'm not a huge fan of beef unless it is a steak. Personally I find it difficult to blend flavors of beef with other flavors and do it exquisitely.
The tofu soaks up the flavors of the dish and is cooked so it is slightly firm and browned perfectly. It's not like any tofu I've ever had before. It's very flavorful, as the term bland is surely the furthest descriptive word to use when talking about Saigon Cafe. I'm not a huge fan of rice noodles, but the vemacelli bun dishes are very tasty as well.Very refreshing for a summer afternoon after eating some of theor warm soups. I typically don't stray from their Curry Dishes as I'm heavily addicted, I've recently triend their panag Curry dish and it was amazing, and is now a new favorite. Their vegetarian dishes are a must for anyone as well.
If you must only try one thing at Saigon I recommend any of their soups along with an order of spring rolls as I feel they ive a true sense of exceptionally incredible edibles. Won-ton soup prepared anywhere is incredibly simple and has always been a very salty soup. but if you must, Their won-ton is the best in town. I only ask that If you visit Saigon cafe to be adventourous and courages as you peruse their menu as you will find it to be the most rewarding experience your tastebuds shall ever encounter.
The Curry dishes aren't overpowering as most would imagine, but blended in such a manner anyone new to foreign cuisine can enjoy. It is hard to judge fairly, as that if I am to go out to eat, Saigon is always my first choice no matter what mood I'm in. In fact everytime I feel hungry I instantly crave their cuisine. This is coming from a guy that used to be steady with chicken fingers, hoagies, pizza, and your typical steak and eggs. There's just something about their food. After your meal you don't feel sleepishly weighed down by heavy greasy food, yet feel satisfied and full, although you may order take out for a snack later if you become an addict like myself. And I also experience a boost of energy from the meal that I haven't felt elsewhere, and being a diabetic it tends to be difficult to feel amazingly well after a meal. This is saigon cafe after all, True heaven in Buffalo's Elmwood Strip. Plus the waiting staff are exceptionnaly welcoming and polite.
Pros: everything
Cons: not enough people know about the place

El Canelo Restaurant
431 Dingens St
Buffalo, NY 14206
One of my favorites
El Canelo's diverse menu caters to anyone wanting to try something new, and also offers new possibilities to regular patrons. Their steaks are tender and are quite possibly the most flavorful steaks I've ever eaten. Their Burritos, and enchiladas are top notch. (You'll never goto taco bell or mighty taco ever again after Canelo's) The HOMEMADE chips and Salsa are amazing as well. At this point the only thing I haven't tried there is their seafood. Every single dish I've ever had there has me wanting to go back for more. One of my favorite side dishes is served there, The chile relleno. A cheese engorged pablano pepper. It's always a surprise as somedays it's incredibly mild, other days it has a bit more zest to it. But always flavorful and addicting. The Service is wonderful, The food is delivered to your table faster than anywhere I've ever eaten real food at (fast food isn't real food). And the food is always piping hot (be careful as the plates are INCREDIBLY hot as well). The food is absolutely amazing, you just need to go and try their burritos to find out, the special sauce that coats everything is of wonderous tastes and mild spices. The courteous staff makes the experience delightful and accomodating as they can help you decide what to order based from your likes and dislikes, and the large menu has hundreds of possibilities you can't beat at their affordable prices. I often recommend the special dinner for two along with an appetizer and some homemade sodas caled Jarritos(har-i-tos) .for something new. The only downside I've seen here is the lack of a tantalizing desert menu. I think a mexican take on cheesecake would compliment any of their meals.
Pros: AMAZING service and food
Cons: lack of desert menu, ambiance

Polish Villa
2954 Union Rd
Cheektowaga, NY 14227
Polish Villa Restaurant
I am happy to say that Western New York is home to a large number of Polish-Americans. So where do they go to have a meal just like babcia used to make? They go to the Polish Villa! Ok, NO ONE can good like your mom or your grandma, but I must say the chefs at this restaurants come close. Ok, ya got me again -- they're not "chefs", they're something much better than that: they're COOKS! They cook up the best galabki, pierogi, kielbasa I have every tasted in any restaurant. If you like soup, be sure to try the czarnina; and if you like potato pancakes (my personal favorite), no one makes them better then the ladies back in the PV kitchen.
I should also mention that the Polish Villa is a short drive from the Galleria, one of the largest malls in the area, and a good place to stop for breakfast on the way to Buffalo Bills games. If you are going to the game, turn right onto Union Road upon exiting the driveway, then keep driving south until you reach Route 20. Turn right at Route 20, and continue a short distance until you reach the stadium. This is my preferred route to the stadium approaching from the north, if only because it bypasses the much heavier traffic on the Thruway and on Route 219.

Roosters Cafe
93 Ridge Rd
Lackawanna, NY 14218
Its Roosterlicous!!!
From the Rooster's Kitchen, to your plate.... make no mistakes!! signature Perdue BBQ Chicken painstakingly roasted to perfection. Not to mention the daily "soupwich" special everyone loves. Friday fish frys for under $8 what? is john outta his mind? Newly remodeled from the ground up the atmosphere is very cozy yet playfull.
Good eats doesn't give Rooster's the credit it demands! Located just of the skyway via the Lackawanna exit (look for the wind turbines!) Some of my favorate items are off the menu... an extensive list of specials everyday! Smoked Alaskan Salmon wraps and salids are a must try!!
Fresh soups made daily... my recommendation is to ask for a sample of soup before deciding on one.... sounds cheap I know but John (owner) is big on samples! Its very family oriented.. Momma D just tickles me pink every time shes there!
How can I explain how good the eats are at Rooster's? Bring an empty tummy and make sure you leave room for homemade rice pudding for later!

Worth Every Mile
I have been to hundreds of taco joints in the US, Canada and Mexico. This place is the best. Personally, the Beef & Cheese, Hot with Sourcream and a apple dessert taco is the best GOT TO HAVE IT Meal. Don't let the looks fool you, the food is good. I have been a satisfied customer for over 15 years. Oh yea...bring some quarters for the classic video games.
Pros: Dessert Taco
